Browser Security¶
Use this page to improve browser security. Security changes work best when account access, devices, browsers, and passwords are reviewed together.
Recommended Baseline¶

| Updates | Keep the browser and operating system updated automatically. |
| Passwords | Use a password manager and unique passwords for hosting, email, and site admin accounts. |
| Warnings | Do not ignore browser warnings about unsafe sites, certificates, or downloads. |
| Extensions | Remove extensions you do not use or do not recognize. |
| Private devices | Avoid signing in to hosting tools on shared or untrusted computers. |
Browser choice matters less than maintenance
Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge can all be reasonable choices when they are current and configured carefully. An outdated browser is the real problem.
Extensions¶
Only install extensions you need. Extensions can read or modify pages, and a bad extension can compromise logins.
If you use a protective extension such as Malwarebytes Browser Guard, install it from the browser's official extension store and keep it updated.
Safer Login Habits¶
- Use bookmarks for the Fused client area, cPanel, and webmail.
- Check the address bar before entering passwords.
- Sign out when using a computer other people can access.
- Do not save hosting passwords in a browser profile shared with other users.
- Review active browser extensions if you see unexpected redirects, popups, or login pages.
If A Browser Seems Compromised¶

Remove extensions
Disable unknown or unnecessary browser extensions, then restart the browser.

Change passwords
Change passwords entered while the browser was behaving suspiciously.

Contact Fused if you suspect client-area, cPanel, email, or site admin access was exposed.
