AI Engine: Unauthorized permanent post deletion
The AI Engine WordPress plugin before 3.7.9 does not check that the item passed to one of its media actions belongs to the requesting user before converting it to an attachment and permanently deleting it, allowing users with the Editor role and above to delete arbitrary posts of any type, including content they cannot otherwise delete such as navigation menus, block templates and global styles. The export supplies no additional endpoint, action, parameter or function details beyond those described above.

- CWE-862 — Missing Authorization
This CVE was published Oct 18, 2026 and is one of 44 known issues for this plugin.
Update, patch or deactivate.
Update AI Engine to 3.7.9 or a later supported release. The completed authoritative export identifies this fixed boundary. Authorize deletion of the original target object before any type conversion; converting a post into an attachment must not bypass its deletion permissions.
A safe version is available, so updating to that version or later is the preferred remediation. If an immediate update is not practical, consider a targeted application patch or temporarily restricting the affected functionality.
Deactivate only when warranted by your risk profile, or when advised by your hosting provider in the limited circumstances where the vulnerability cannot otherwise be mitigated. If you’re unsure which action is appropriate, contact Fused or your hosting provider for guidance.
