PublishPress Capabilities: Cross Site Request Forgery (CSRF)
An unauthenticated attacker can induce a victim's browser to perform an unwanted action in the victim's authenticated context. The forged action, endpoint, parameter, victim role and resulting state change are unspecified; the unauthenticated attacker classification does not remove the need for victim interaction. Affected versions: n/a through 2.50.1. Confirmed fixed release: 2.51.0.

This CVE was published Sep 23, 2026 and is one of 5 known issues for this plugin.
Update, patch or deactivate.
Update to 2.51.0 or later, preferably the current supported release. Require action-bound request-intent verification and the appropriate capability before changing state. Reject missing or invalid anti-CSRF tokens; do not treat a logged-in session alone as consent.
A safe version is available, so updating to that version or later is the preferred remediation. If an immediate update is not practical, consider a targeted application patch or temporarily restricting the affected functionality.
Deactivate only when warranted by your risk profile, or when advised by your hosting provider in the limited circumstances where the vulnerability cannot otherwise be mitigated. If you’re unsure which action is appropriate, contact Fused or your hosting provider for guidance.
