MEDIUM CVE-2026-93662 Deferred

Events Manager search exposes other owners unpublished content

A logged-in low-privilege user can override the owner value in event or location search. The search does not enforce the caller scope and returns other accounts unpublished, pending or trashed events and venues, including full street addresses. The precise minimum WordPress role and endpoint are unspecified. Affected versions: 7.4.1 to < 7.4.5. Confirmed fixed release: 7.4.5.

Weakness
CWE-200 — Exposure of Sensitive Information to an Unauthorized Actor

This CVE was published Sep 24, 2026 and is one of 46 known issues for this plugin.

Update, patch or deactivate.

Update to 7.4.5 or a later supported release. Derive permitted ownership and visibility from the authenticated user, not caller-supplied owner filters, and enforce that scope on both event and location searches.

A safe version is available, so updating to that version or later is the preferred remediation. If an immediate update is not practical, consider a targeted application patch or temporarily restricting the affected functionality.

Deactivate only when warranted by your risk profile, or when advised by your hosting provider in the limited circumstances where the vulnerability cannot otherwise be mitigated. If you’re unsure which action is appropriate, contact Fused or your hosting provider for guidance.

Technical description

The Events Manager WordPress plugin before 7.4.5 does not force the scope of its logged-in event and location search when a caller supplies their own owner value, letting a low-privileged user read other accounts' unpublished, pending or trashed event and venue content, including full street addresses.
