FluentAuth accepts insufficiently authenticated identity data
FluentAuth through 2.1.2 has insufficient verification of data authenticity that permits identity spoofing. The CNA vector allows an unauthenticated request without victim interaction and assigns limited integrity impact. The export does not identify the input, endpoint, verification function, impersonated identity scope or whether a WordPress login session is issued. It does not establish administrator takeover. The affected-version data marks 3.0.0 unaffected.

Update, patch or deactivate.
Update FluentAuth to 3.0.0 or later. Validate the authenticity and intended purpose of identity-bearing input against trusted server-side state before using it. Do not authorize changes based solely on caller-provided identity claims, and reject missing or invalid verification evidence.
A safe version is available, so updating to that version or later is the preferred remediation. If an immediate update is not practical, consider a targeted application patch or temporarily restricting the affected functionality.
Deactivate only when warranted by your risk profile, or when advised by your hosting provider in the limited circumstances where the vulnerability cannot otherwise be mitigated. If you’re unsure which action is appropriate, contact Fused or your hosting provider for guidance.
