HIGH CVE-2026-113673 Received

GeoDirectory: Code execution

The GeoDirectory WordPress plugin before 2.8.194 does not properly escape administrator-defined text before writing it into a generated PHP file in its own folder, allowing high privilege users such as a subsite administrator on a multisite network, who cannot otherwise run code, to achieve Remote Code Execution that any unauthenticated visitor can trigger. Other endpoint, parameter, role or implementation details not named in this export are not established by this record. Affected versions: before 2.8.194.

CWE-94 — Improper Control of Generation of Code ('Code Injection')

This CVE was published Oct 24, 2026 and is one of 42 known issues for this plugin.

Update, patch or deactivate.

The authoritative export identifies 2.8.194 as fixed. Update to the applicable fixed release or a later supported release. Do not interpolate administrator-controlled text into executable PHP. Store configuration as data and keep generated code separate from editable values.

A safe version is available, so updating to that version or later is the preferred remediation. If an immediate update is not practical, consider a targeted application patch or temporarily restricting the affected functionality.

Deactivate only when warranted by your risk profile, or when advised by your hosting provider in the limited circumstances where the vulnerability cannot otherwise be mitigated. If you’re unsure which action is appropriate, contact Fused or your hosting provider for guidance.
