HIGH CVE-2026-55826 Deferred

GTM Server Side: Disclosure of other customers' order data

The GTM Server Side plugin by stape.io implements server-side tracking on WordPress websites. From version 2.0.0 to before version 2.1.48, the WooCommerce purchase event tracking mechanism allows an unauthenticated attacker to trigger the rendering of another customer's full order data — including personally identifiable information (PII) — into the page's JavaScript dataLayer. This issue has been patched in version 2.1.48. Other endpoint, parameter, role or implementation details not named in this export are not established by this record. Affected versions: >= 2.0.0, before 2.1.48.

CWE-200 — Exposure of Sensitive Information to an Unauthorized Actor

This CVE was published Oct 23, 2026 and is one of 1 known issue for this plugin.

Update, patch or deactivate.

The authoritative export identifies 2.1.48 as fixed. Update to the applicable fixed release or a later supported release. Authorize access to the selected order before rendering customer data into the JavaScript dataLayer. Escaping the values alone does not prevent disclosure.

A safe version is available, so updating to that version or later is the preferred remediation. If an immediate update is not practical, consider a targeted application patch or temporarily restricting the affected functionality.

Deactivate only when warranted by your risk profile, or when advised by your hosting provider in the limited circumstances where the vulnerability cannot otherwise be mitigated. If you’re unsure which action is appropriate, contact Fused or your hosting provider for guidance.
