JetFormBuilder trusts non-form content as a schema and can create administrator accounts
Through 3.6.2, an unauthenticated requester can submit a form ID that is not verified to identify a JetFormBuilder form. Referenced post content is parsed as a form schema, and Advanced Validation server-side callback processing can be reached in a way that creates a new administrator account. The export does not disclose the request route, callback name or how attacker-controlled post content is supplied.

This CVE was published Sep 16, 2026 and is one of 25 known issues for this plugin.
Update, patch or deactivate.
The official author release notes confirm remediation by 3.6.2.2; this does not establish that every intervening release was affected. Update the affected edition to 3.6.2.2 or a later maintained release on its supported branch. Disable affected public forms or the plugin until the update is installed. Verify form identity and authorization before parsing schemas, and restrict server-side callbacks to an administrator-managed allowlist. Audit newly created administrators and revoke unauthorized sessions. Official author release notes: https://wordpress.org/plugins/jetformbuilder/.
A safe version is available, so updating to that version or later is the preferred remediation. If an immediate update is not practical, consider a targeted application patch or temporarily restricting the affected functionality.
Deactivate only when warranted by your risk profile, or when advised by your hosting provider in the limited circumstances where the vulnerability cannot otherwise be mitigated. If you’re unsure which action is appropriate, contact Fused or your hosting provider for guidance.
Technical description
The JetFormBuilder — Dynamic Blocks Form Builder plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 3.6.2. This is due to the plugin not validating that a submitted form ID belongs to a JetFormBuilder form before parsing the referenced post's content as form schema and executing an Advanced Validation server-side callback. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to create a new administrator-level user account.
