LOW CVE-2026-113501 Deferred

LiteSpeed Cache: Unauthorized dismissal of protected notices

The LiteSpeed Cache WordPress plugin before 7.9.2 does not perform a capability check on its admin-notice dismissal handler, and the nonce it relies on is not bound to the specific notice being dismissed, so on sites in certain configurations a low-privileged authenticated user (Subscriber) can dismiss administrative notices the LiteSpeed Cache WordPress plugin before 7.9.2 marks as non-dismissible, including a warning that sensitive files may be publicly accessible. Other endpoint, parameter, role or implementation details not named in this export are not established by this record. Affected versions: before 7.9.2.

Update, patch or deactivate.

The authoritative export identifies 7.9.2 as fixed. Update to the applicable fixed release or a later supported release. Check the caller's notice-dismissal capability, enforce non-dismissible notice policy and bind nonce validation to the target notice.

A safe version is available, so updating to that version or later is the preferred remediation. If an immediate update is not practical, consider a targeted application patch or temporarily restricting the affected functionality.

Deactivate only when warranted by your risk profile, or when advised by your hosting provider in the limited circumstances where the vulnerability cannot otherwise be mitigated. If you’re unsure which action is appropriate, contact Fused or your hosting provider for guidance.
