LiteSpeed Cache: Sensitive data exposure

LiteSpeed Cache: The CVSS vector permits an unauthenticated attacker. Sensitive information is included in data sent to an unauthorized recipient. The CVSS vector specifies high attack complexity and high confidentiality impact, but the export does not disclose the additional conditions, exact data, response field or receiving endpoint. No integrity or availability impact is scored. The authoritative export does not name the vulnerable endpoint, request action, parameter or implementation function. Published affected versions: <= 7.9.

CWE-201 — Insertion of Sensitive Information Into Sent Data

This CVE was published Oct 24, 2026 and is one of 27 known issues for this plugin.

Update, patch or deactivate.

Update LiteSpeed Cache to 7.9.1 or later. Remove sensitive fields from externally sent data and enforce authorization for every disclosed field. Assess possible exposure and rotate any secrets found to have been disclosed. A specific exposed secret is not identified in the export.

A safe version is available, so updating to that version or later is the preferred remediation. If an immediate update is not practical, consider a targeted application patch or temporarily restricting the affected functionality.

Deactivate only when warranted by your risk profile, or when advised by your hosting provider in the limited circumstances where the vulnerability cannot otherwise be mitigated. If you’re unsure which action is appropriate, contact Fused or your hosting provider for guidance.
