LOW CVE-2026-91008 Deferred

Event Booking Manager exposes attendee information through booking references

Event Booking Manager for WooCommerce from 5.3.6 up to but not including 5.3.8, an unauthenticated caller can supply an enumerable booking reference to a confirmation view that lacks ownership or authorization checks. It returns attendee full names, email addresses, phone numbers and custom registration fields. Only sites using the plugin's native non-WooCommerce checkout are affected; that checkout is not the default. The export does not name the confirmation route or reference parameter.

Weakness
CWE-639 — Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key

This CVE was published Sep 17, 2026 and is one of 28 known issues for this plugin.

Update, patch or deactivate.

Update Event Booking Manager for WooCommerce to 5.3.8 or later. Authorize the confirmation viewer for the specific booking before returning attendee data; do not rely on an enumerable reference as a secret. Restrict native-checkout confirmation access until updated and review possible data exposure.

A safe version is available, so updating to that version or later is the preferred remediation. If an immediate update is not practical, consider a targeted application patch or temporarily restricting the affected functionality.

Deactivate only when warranted by your risk profile, or when advised by your hosting provider in the limited circumstances where the vulnerability cannot otherwise be mitigated. If you’re unsure which action is appropriate, contact Fused or your hosting provider for guidance.

Technical description

The Event Booking Manager for WooCommerce WordPress plugin before 5.3.8 does not perform an ownership or authorization check before rendering booking confirmation details, allowing unauthenticated attackers to retrieve registered attendees' personal information (full name, email address, phone number, and custom registration fields) by supplying an enumerable booking reference. Exploitation is limited to sites configured to use the Event Booking Manager for WooCommerce WordPress plugin before 5.3.8's native (non-WooCommerce) checkout, which is not the default.
