Master Addons popup identifiers permit Contributor-level deletion of arbitrary posts
Master Addons for Elementor through 3.2.2 allows an authenticated Contributor or higher role to supply an attacker-selected popup_id and modify the title or metadata of arbitrary WordPress posts, or permanently delete them. The required nonce is exposed on the edit-jltma_popup administration screen, which Contributors can access because the jltma_popup post type uses capability_type='post'. Possession of that nonce therefore does not establish permission to modify or delete the selected object. The export does not disclose the full mutation endpoint or handler name. This is a content-integrity and availability issue, not an established administrator-account takeover.

This CVE was published Sep 18, 2026 and is one of 29 known issues for this plugin.
Update, patch or deactivate.
This archive could not verify a fixed version from the official author release notes reviewed on 2026-10-13. Disable the affected feature or component where practical until remediation for the deployed configuration is established. . Until then, disable the affected popup mutation functionality or restrict it to trusted administrators. Require per-object edit_post or delete_post permission as appropriate, verify that the target really is an allowed popup post, restrict writable metadata keys, and verify an action-bound nonce in addition to authorization. Review unexpected post changes and use backups for permanently deleted content. Official author release notes: https://wordpress.org/plugins/master-addons/#developers.
No confirmed safe version is listed. Consider a vendor-supported patch or temporarily restricting the affected functionality while you assess the risk.
Deactivate only when warranted by your risk profile, or when advised by your hosting provider in the limited circumstances where the vulnerability cannot otherwise be mitigated. If you’re unsure which action is appropriate, contact Fused or your hosting provider for guidance.
Technical description
The Master Addons for Elementor – Elementor Addons, Widgets, Mega Menu Builder, Popup Builder, Widget Builder & Template Kits plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in all versions up to, and including, 3.2.2. This is due to the plugin not properly verifying that a user is authorized to perform an action. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to modify the title and metadata of arbitrary WordPress posts or permanently delete arbitrary WordPress posts by supplying an attacker-controlled popup_id. The required nonce is emitted on the edit-jltma_popup admin screen, which is accessible to Contributors because the jltma_popup custom post type is registered with capability_type='post'.
