MEDIUM CVE-2026-103875 Deferred

Media Library Assistant: Reflected cross-site scripting

The Media Library Assistant plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the 'search-string' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 3.42 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link. Exploitation requires the targeted site to have a publicly accessible page containing an [mla_gallery] shortcode configured with a pagination output mode and an mla_link_href template that reflects a {+request:...+} token, along with enough attachments to trigger pagination. The structured affected range is <= 3.42.

For other CVEs affecting this component in this batch, prefer a supported release including 3.43 or later; the version above remains this CVE’s specific first confirmed guidance.

A safe version is available, so updating to that version or later is the preferred remediation. If an immediate update is not practical, consider a targeted application patch or temporarily restricting the affected functionality.

Deactivate only when warranted by your risk profile, or when advised by your hosting provider in the limited circumstances where the vulnerability cannot otherwise be mitigated. If you’re unsure which action is appropriate, contact Fused or your hosting provider for guidance.
