MEDIUM CVE-2026-113485 Deferred

Media Library Assistant: Cross-site request forgery

The Media Library Assistant WordPress plugin before 3.42 does not consistently validate its CSRF nonce on the Media Library bulk-action handler, checking the nonce only when its field is present, so a forged request that omits the field can cause a logged-in user with the Author role or above to trash or delete attachments. The structured affected range is < 3.42.

Update, patch or deactivate.

Update to a supported release containing the confirmed fix: 3.42. Until that update is installed, restrict access to the affected functionality. For other CVEs affecting this component in this batch, prefer a supported release including 3.43 or later; the version above remains this CVE’s specific first confirmed guidance.

Deactivate only when warranted by your risk profile, or when advised by your hosting provider in the limited circumstances where the vulnerability cannot otherwise be mitigated. If you’re unsure which action is appropriate, contact Fused or your hosting provider for guidance.
