Media Library Assistant permits Author-level arbitrary file upload
Media Library Assistant <= 3.39 allows an Author to upload an arbitrary file. The CNA prose names Author as the minimum role, while its CVSS vector encodes high privileges required; that inconsistency is unresolved. Executable content could produce code execution where the undisclosed upload path and server configuration permit it; otherwise the primitive still places attacker-controlled content on the server.

Update, patch or deactivate.
Update Media Library Assistant to 3.40 or later. Review Author and other non-administrator upload activity and investigate unexpected files or code execution.
A safe version is available, so updating to that version or later is the preferred remediation. If an immediate update is not practical, consider a targeted application patch or temporarily restricting the affected functionality.
Deactivate only when warranted by your risk profile, or when advised by your hosting provider in the limited circumstances where the vulnerability cannot otherwise be mitigated. If you’re unsure which action is appropriate, contact Fused or your hosting provider for guidance.
