Robo Gallery: Cross-site scripting
An Author can save script-bearing image settings that are rendered without sufficient escaping in a gallery. JavaScript can execute when someone views it, including on multisite installations where the Author lacks unfiltered_html. The exact image field and rendering function are not disclosed; the PR:H vector differs from the Author role in the narrative. Affected versions: < 5.2.6. The authoritative export identifies 5.2.6 as fixed for this CVE.

This CVE was published Oct 11, 2026 and is one of 22 known issues for this plugin.
Update, patch or deactivate.
Update to 5.2.6 or a later supported release. Application-level remediation: Validate stored and request values and escape them for their final HTML, attribute, URL or JavaScript context. Enforce capability and object-ownership checks on settings and content writes.
A safe version is available, so updating to that version or later is the preferred remediation. If an immediate update is not practical, consider a targeted application patch or temporarily restricting the affected functionality.
Deactivate only when warranted by your risk profile, or when advised by your hosting provider in the limited circumstances where the vulnerability cannot otherwise be mitigated. If you’re unsure which action is appropriate, contact Fused or your hosting provider for guidance.
Technical description
The Robo Gallery WordPress plugin before 5.2.6 does not sanitise and escape some of its image settings before outputting them in a gallery page, allowing users with the Author role and above to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks that execute in the browser of any visitor viewing the gallery, including administrators, even where the unfiltered_html capability is disallowed such as on multisite.
