HIGH CVE-2026-18443 Deferred

Smart Manager: Conditional Subscriber SQL injection in access privileges

The Smart Manager – Advanced WooCommerce Bulk Edit & Inventory Management plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to generic SQL Injection via the 'access_privileges' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 8.97.0 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database. This exploit is only possible on installations where an administrator has saved a role-based deny-list Access Privilege configuration that does not explicitly block the internal 'access-privilege' module, as this condition allows the authorization filter to implicitly permit Subscriber-level users to invoke the vulnerable handler. The official changelog confirms the fixed release as 8.98.0.

Weakness
CWE-89 — Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an SQL Command ('SQL Injection')

This CVE was published Oct 03, 2026 and is one of 5 known issues for this plugin.

Update, patch or deactivate.

Update Smart Manager to 8.98.0 or a later supported release. An application-level fix should deny access to internal privilege-management modules by default and require an explicit administrative capability. Prepare access_privileges SQL values and allowlist any query identifiers. Review role deny-list configurations that implicitly allow the internal access-privilege module.

A safe version is available, so updating to that version or later is the preferred remediation. If an immediate update is not practical, consider a targeted application patch or temporarily restricting the affected functionality.

Deactivate only when warranted by your risk profile, or when advised by your hosting provider in the limited circumstances where the vulnerability cannot otherwise be mitigated. If you’re unsure which action is appropriate, contact Fused or your hosting provider for guidance.
