MEDIUM CVE-2026-107625 Deferred

Ultimate Member – User Profile, Registration, Login, Member Directory, Content Restriction & Membership Plugin: Stored cross-site scripting

The Ultimate Member – User Profile, Registration, Login, Member Directory, Content Restriction & Membership Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'user_url' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 2.14.0 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. Successful exploitation requires a visitor to click the attacker's Website URL link on their public Ultimate Member profile, a condition that is trivially met since the redirect-confirmation onclick handler is enabled by default on all new installations. The vector marks UI:N, but the narrative’s victim viewing or interaction requirement still applies. Exploitation requires the victim interaction described above; merely storing the payload is not sufficient. The structured affected range is <= 2.14.0.

Update, patch or deactivate.

Update to a supported release containing the confirmed fix: 2.14.1. Validate input and escape values for their final HTML, attribute or JavaScript context; review affected stored content where applicable. Official author notes: https://wordpress.org/plugins/ultimate-member/#developers.

A safe version is available, so updating to that version or later is the preferred remediation. If an immediate update is not practical, consider a targeted application patch or temporarily restricting the affected functionality.

Deactivate only when warranted by your risk profile, or when advised by your hosting provider in the limited circumstances where the vulnerability cannot otherwise be mitigated. If you’re unsure which action is appropriate, contact Fused or your hosting provider for guidance.
