WP Crowdfunding lets Subscribers alter other users' campaigns
WP Crowdfunding before 2.2.1 exposes wp_ajax_wpneo_update_status_save. update_status_save() accepts postid plus wpneo_prject_update_date_field, wpneo_prject_update_title_field and wpneo_prject_update_details_field, writes the resulting JSON to wpneo_campaign_updates and triggers wpcf_campaign_update_email for that campaign. Without an ownership check, a Subscriber can alter another user's campaign update history and email its backers. Version 2.2.1 adds ownership validation; the fixed class and predicate are not disclosed.

Update, patch or deactivate.
Update to 2.2.1 or later. Review campaign histories and notification mail, restore unauthorized changes, and notify affected campaign owners or backers when warranted.
A safe version is available, so updating to that version or later is the preferred remediation. If an immediate update is not practical, consider a targeted application patch or temporarily restricting the affected functionality.
Deactivate only when warranted by your risk profile, or when advised by your hosting provider in the limited circumstances where the vulnerability cannot otherwise be mitigated. If you’re unsure which action is appropriate, contact Fused or your hosting provider for guidance.
Technical description
The WP Crowdfunding WordPress plugin before 2.2.1 does not verify ownership of a campaign before allowing its update history to be modified and a notification email sent to its backers, allowing any authenticated users such as Subscribers to alter other users' campaigns.
