MEDIUM CVE-2026-15402 Deferred

Eventin schedule objectives permit contributor-level stored scripts

Eventin through 4.1.23 insufficiently sanitizes and escapes etn_shedule_objective in the schedule_slot data. An authenticated Contributor or higher can store attacker-controlled schedule content; rendering the affected page places that content into browser output and executes injected scripts for viewers. The export identifies the field and schedule context but does not disclose the request route, save action, exact handler function, or HTML escaping context.

Weakness
CWE-79 — Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting')

This CVE was published Sep 15, 2026 and is one of 45 known issues for this plugin.

Update, patch or deactivate.

This archive could not verify a fixed version from the official author release notes reviewed on 2026-10-13. Disable the affected feature or component where practical until remediation for the deployed configuration is established. Restrict untrusted schedule editing and disable the affected plugin if necessary until a fix is confirmed. Remove injected schedule data. The application-level fix must validate the schedule_slot structure, sanitize each etn_shedule_objective value, and escape or narrowly filter allowed markup when rendering it, with capability and nonce checks on writes. Official author release notes: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-event-solution/.

No confirmed safe version is listed. Consider a vendor-supported patch or temporarily restricting the affected functionality while you assess the risk.

Deactivate only when warranted by your risk profile, or when advised by your hosting provider in the limited circumstances where the vulnerability cannot otherwise be mitigated. If you’re unsure which action is appropriate, contact Fused or your hosting provider for guidance.

Technical description

The Eventin – Event Calendar, Event Registration, Tickets & Booking (AI Powered) plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via 'etn_shedule_objective' schedule_slot Parameter in all versions up to, and including, 4.1.23 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
