MEDIUM CVE-2026-115241 Deferred

WPvivid — Backup, Migration & Staging: Arbitrary database-table deletion

The WPvivid — Backup, Migration & Staging WordPress plugin before 0.9.137 does not verify that a submitted snapshot identifier names a snapshot it actually created before using it as a database table-name prefix, so an authenticated administrator can supply the site's table prefix, or any other string, and cause the WPvivid — Backup, Migration & Staging WordPress plugin before 0.9.137 to drop every matching table, including the core WordPress tables, destroying the site's database. The structured affected range is < 0.9.137.

Update, patch or deactivate.

Update to a supported release containing the confirmed fix: 0.9.137. Accept only snapshot identifiers created by the plugin and enforce authorization before deleting tables.

A safe version is available, so updating to that version or later is the preferred remediation. If an immediate update is not practical, consider a targeted application patch or temporarily restricting the affected functionality.

Deactivate only when warranted by your risk profile, or when advised by your hosting provider in the limited circumstances where the vulnerability cannot otherwise be mitigated. If you’re unsure which action is appropriate, contact Fused or your hosting provider for guidance.
