WPVR: Contributors can read and modify other users’ tours
WPVR does not perform object-level authorization when reading and updating virtual tours. A Contributor or higher can select a tour belonging to another user and read or modify it. The affected routes, object-ID parameters and scope of returned fields are not disclosed in the export; access to unrelated WordPress content is not established. Published affected versions: 9.0.0 to < 9.0.3.

Update, patch or deactivate.
Update WPVR to 9.1.3 or later to also address the setup-wizard issue CVE-2026-114740. Version 9.0.3 is the first confirmed fix for this CVE. Apply per-tour read and edit authorization before returning tour data or accepting changes. Review cross-user tour access and unauthorized modifications.
A safe version is available, so updating to that version or later is the preferred remediation. If an immediate update is not practical, consider a targeted application patch or temporarily restricting the affected functionality.
Deactivate only when warranted by your risk profile, or when advised by your hosting provider in the limited circumstances where the vulnerability cannot otherwise be mitigated. If you’re unsure which action is appropriate, contact Fused or your hosting provider for guidance.
