FTP: Settings and Connections

General FTP settings

You can connect via FTP to your web hosting account with as little as three pieces of info:

1. Server name — often your domain name will suffice.
2. User name — your cPanel username can double as an FTPS\SFTP username
3. Password — your cPanel password

Host	example.com
User	username@example.com
Password	Your password

Limitations

• IP addresses are limited to 8 open FTP connections at a time. It is not uncommon for an FTP application to open at least 4 or more connections.
