Configuring Magento to use SSL¶

Use this page for configuring magento to use ssl. Confirm the certificate is available first, then update the application or DNS settings that control HTTPS behavior.

Setting up Magento v1.x to use SSL¶

1. Navigate to your Magento administrative panel.
2. Navigate to 'System > Configuration'
3. Select 'Web' on the left hand side beneath the General section.
4. Select the 'Secure' link.
5. Adjust the base url to use https:// instead of http://
6. Change 'Use Secure URLs in Frontend' & 'Use Secure URLs in Admin' to 'Yes'.
7. Hit 'Save Config' in the upper right.
