Unlocking your domain at dot5 hosting

Unlocking your domain disables the security mechanism that prevents a domain name from transferring between registrars.

As soon as you're ready to transfer your domain, there are two steps involved: retrieving your EPP (explained in this article), unlocking your domain & disabling whois privacy.

To unlock your domain at dot5 hosting, follow these instructions:

  1. Log in to the Dot5 control panel
  2. Go to Domain Central
  3. Select the domain name from the list.
  4. Click Transfer
  5. Review the checklist. If any item shows an x instead of a check, click on the pencil to correct the item.
  6. Click Send Auth-Info Code to send yourself the EPP. The EPP will go to the email address displayed on screen.
  7. All set, you're ready to & transfer your domain to fused.

Unlocking your domain name allows it to transfer from registrar to registrar, please only do so when ready.
