Retrieving your domain's authorization code from HostMonster¶
Use this guide to retrieve a domain authorization code from HostMonster. The domain may also need to be unlocked before a transfer can begin.
Hostmonster EPP code Exemptions¶
Some domain TLDs do not require authorization codes. These include first and foremost, .uk, .bz, .cc, .gd, .im, .tc, .tel, .tv, .vg, and .ws — you can review the epp code exemptions here if needed.
Unlock your domain
Before you can transfer a domain, you'll need to unlock it.
Getting your auth key from HostMonster¶
- Log in to the HostMonster control panel
- Choose Domains in the main menu
- Select the domain name from the list on the left.
- Select Transfer EPP and copy the code provided.
