Retrieving your domain's authorization code from MediaTemple¶
Use this guide to retrieve a domain authorization code from Media Temple. The domain may also need to be unlocked before a transfer can begin.
MediaTemple EPP code Exemptions¶
Some domain TLDs do not require authorization codes. These include first and foremost, .uk, .bz, .cc, .gd, .im, .tc, .tel, .tv, .vg, and .ws — you can review the epp code exemptions here if needed.
Unlock your domain
Before you can transfer a domain, you'll need to unlock it. If you've done that, proceed. Otherwise check out our docs on unlocking a domain with MediaTemple
Getting your auth key from Media Temple¶
- Log into the Media Temple Account Center.
- From the Overview page or Domains tab, select the domain you want to transfer.
- Click on the Auth Code icon under Domain Tools.
- The email will be sent to the current administrative email on file with Media Temple
