Unlocking your domain at Mediatemple

Unlocking your domain disables the security mechanism that prevents a domain name from transferring between registrars.

Mediatemple is now Godaddy

As Godaddy has acquired Mediatemple, you'll perform these steps using the unlock godaddy domain instructions.

As soon as you're ready to transfer your domain, there are two steps involved: retrieving your EPP & unlocking your domain.

To unlock your domain at Media Temple, follow these instructions:

1. Navigate to Mediatemple's account center and login.
2. Click on that domain, then select Domain Locking from the Domain Tools menu.
3. Unlock the domain.
4. All set, now you'll need to request your EPP if you haven't, & transfer.

Unlocking your domain name allows it to transfer from registrar to registrar, please only do so when ready.
